Do you have another flight today?
If it’s a connecting flight with Qatar Airways, you can relax.
Because Qatar Airways is a full service airline offering protected connecting flights. And that means that you are protected against flight problems. According to the Qatar Airways missed connection policy, if you will miss a connecting flight Qatar Airways will put you on another flight completely for free. If it’s a long delay and it’s airlines fault, you will also be entitled to compensation.

1.2 If you are already at the airport
Go and see if check desk is open already (even if you don’t need it).
If check in hasn’t started, try to find out if it is postponed.
If the check has already started, go and check in, and proceed to your gate as you would normally do. Check flight information screens once in a while to see what is happening with your flight. Be prepared that gate and departure time may change after some time. It may end up to be an even longer delay.

5. Qatar Airways denied boarding compensation
Generally speaking, rules are almost the same.
According to Regulation EC 261/2004, you are entitled to compensation not only if your flight is delayed or cancelled, but also if you are denied boarding due to overbooking. To put it simply, if you aren’t allowed to board a plane simply because there are no more free seats, you should be receiving EU denied boarding compensation.
With Qatar Airways it applies to all its flights from Europe.
Compensation amounts are the same — 250, 400 or 600 euro.
You can get both — a new flight or full refund and a compensation.
Don’t forget that this applies only to overbooking.
If there were problems with your passport or travel documents, and because of that you weren’t allowed to board a plane then you can’t get compensation. You also can’t get a compensation if you voluntarily give up your seat and agree to take another flight.

6. Qatar Airways connecting flights
Established in 1993, Qatar Airways is the national carrier of Qatar, based at Doha Hamad International Airport. According to airline and airport review site Skytrax, Qatar Airways is one of best airlines in the world. It’s a full service airline, and as a such it offers airline protected connecting flights.
What it means for you is convenience and protection.
You have to check in only once. Your luggage is being taken to your final destination. And if there is a problem with your flight, the airline takes care of that.
If, for example, your first flight is late and because of that you miss the next flight, Qatar Airways will offer you to take another flight to your destination completely for free. You will not have to do anything — neither look for another flight, nor pay for it.
